Earlier job applications used to be denied because of poor credit. But now, in reality, your smoking habit can be the biggest obstacle in your way to get a better job. I am not joking. Employers do ask “Do you smoke?”

The whole second hand smoke issue is the biggest friggin conspiracy ever construed.
A charcoal BBQ lets off all the same carcinogens into the air as 700 packs of cigarettes.
Grand Rapids, MI has enacted a new law which will prevent smoking darn near everywhere.
Why won’t they outlaw charcoal BBQ’s too???

I’m with Polly, it’s getting ridiculous. They won’t let you smoke anywhere, but you can drink 6 drinks at dinner and get in a car. This one restaurant I was in with my hubby, we were sitting in the smoking section, this stuffy old woman kept caughing and fanning smoke(invisible). She said to me, “Would you mind not smoking?’ wrong thing to say to me-I said,”Lady, you are sitting in the smoking section, first off. I’ll quit smoking if you will let me call the police when you get in your car because you have had 7 drinks that I know of” I told her,me smoking while I was driving probably wasn’t going to kill anyone, but her being sloshed would!! Needless to say my husband crawled under the table!!..KAren

Quite true Karen. But as Polly said, second hand smoke issue is getting bigger shape. A smoker and a sloshed driver are quite similar; both are killing others somehow.
And Polly, I have also read about that law, perhaps in topix.net. That’s a good move
